Intrauterine insemination (IUI)
Intrauterine insemination (IUI) involves placing duly medically prepared motile sperm into the uterine cavity. It applies in cases where certain pathologies may prevent the delivery of positive results, such as cervical factor, mild male factor, severe vaginismus, and ejaculatory dysfunction.
UIU may also be considered in unexplained infertility. It constitutes a treatment option both for women who wish to become single mothers and couples with azoospermia. The process of IUI lasts about 5 minutes. IUI may be applied either on a natural cycle or a stimulated cycle (ovulation induction). Such decisions will be taken by your physician based on your case.
