Elizabeth graduated from Sunderland University with a degree in BSc Honors in Biomedical Sciences (1996) and continued her studies with an MSc in Medical Genetics from Newcastle upon Tyne University ‘s Medical School, where she graduated with distinction in 1997.

From January 1999 until April 2000, she was trained in Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis in the Academic Hospital and Free University of Brussels (A.Z. V.U.B.) under the supervision of Professors Andre Van Streirteghem and Inge Libaers.

She has been continuously working in Greece as a clinical embryologist since January 2001 and has been Lab Manager of a private IVF Unit from 2013 until 2019. She joined Fertilia Embryology Team in 2022 and she is Assistant Manager of the Embryology and Andrology Lab.
